A woman has been seriously injured in a Merrillville snow plow accident that remains under investigation.

Merrillville Snow Plow Accident Took Place at Aldi

The Merrillville snow plow accident took place at an Aldi at approximately 8:13 a.m. on January 14, 2025.  At that time, an unidentified female pedestrian was reportedly struck by a plow truck as she was walking outside of the grocery store, which is located at 10 W. Highway in Merrillville, IN.  The woman was then rushed to an area hospital with what are believed to be “critical injuries.”

Officers from the Merrillville Police Department were subsequently called to the scene of the collision, which they are currently investigating.  The Aldi parking lot has been taped off to aid in their efforts, though no further information about the Merrillville snow plow accident is available at this time.
