A rider has been killed in a tragic Fort Wayne motorcycle collision with a semi truck that remains under investigation.

Fort Wayne Motorcycle Collision Followed by Second Accident

The fatal Fort Wayne motorcycle collision took place on I-69 near mile marker 319 on October 7, 2024.  According to Allen County Sheriff’s Department public information officer Adam Griffith, the motorcyclist died after being struck by a semi truck’s tire at that location.

During the subsequent traffic back-up, a second accident involving three cars occurred near mile marker 317, though authorities have not yet provided further details about that incident.

Drivers have been told to avoid the area for the next three hours to allow emergency crews to respond to the Fort Wayne motorcycle collision, which has prompted a shutdown on northbound I-69 between the Union Chapel and Dupont exits.
