One Hospitalized After Indianapolis Pedestrian Accident

At least one person has been hospitalized following an early morning Indianapolis pedestrian accident.

Indianapolis Pedestrian Accident Victim in “Critical Condition”

The Indianapolis pedestrian accident took place in a residential neighborhood on the city’s southeast side shortly before 6:00 a.m. on October 30, 2024.  According to an eyewitness, a passing vehicle struck someone who was walking in or along the road in the 1200 block of South Arlington Avenue, which is located between Brookville Road and Raymond Street.

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were then dispatched to the site, where they determined that the pedestrian had been badly injured.  The victim was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital and reportedly remains in critical condition.

The IMPD said that the driver stayed at the scene of the Indianapolis pedestrian accident and has been cooperating with investigators.  Other drivers have been asked to avoid the area until the investigation is complete.
