One Dead Following Elkhart Motorcycle Accident

One person is dead following an Elkhart motorcycle accident in which a pickup truck was also involved.

Elkhart Motorcycle Accident Victim Dies at Hospital

The fatal Elkhart motorcycle accident took place shortly before 7:15 p.m. on September 29, 2024.  According to police, a motorcycle was heading north in the 1600 block of Cassopolis Street in Elkhart, IN, which is located about 15 miles east of South Bend, when it hit a Ford F-150 that was making a left turn directly in front of it.

The motorcyclist, who has been described as a male in his early 20s, was subsequently transported to an area hospital, where he died from the injuries he sustained in the Elkhart motorcycle accident.  His identity was not immediately known.

The driver of the pickup truck reportedly remained at the scene and has cooperated with investigators, who have not yet released any further information about the tragic event.
