I-69 Semi-Truck Accident Kills Driver of SUV

The driver of a small SUV has been killed in an I-69 truck accident near Indiana’s Warrick-Gibson County line.

Both Vehicles Catch Fire in I-69 Truck Accident

The deadly two-vehicle I-69 truck accident took place on the northbound exit ramp at SR 68 on October 8, 2024.  According to the Indiana State Police, a semi-trailer was traveling northbound on I-69 when its driver exited the interstate on SR 68.  The driver then allegedly disregarded the stop sign at SR 68 for “unknown reasons” and crashed into a GMC Terrain SUV that was traveling west, causing both vehicles to catch fire upon impact.

Though the semi-trailer’s driver was reportedly uninjured in the I-69 truck accident, the SUV’s driver was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.  The deceased’s identify has yet to be released pending family notification.

No further information about the I-69 truck accident was immediately provided by law enforcement officials.
