Evansville Motorcycle Collision Kills Rider

A rider has been killed in an early morning Evansville motorcycle collision that remains under investigation.

The fatal Evansville motorcycle collision occurred just before 9:00 a.m. on September 26, 2024.  Officers from the Evansville Police Department (EPD) were subsequently dispatched to the scene of the accident, which took place on North First Avenue near Idlewild Street on the north side of the Southern Indiana city.

According to the EPD, the Evansville motorcycle collision involved a motorcycle and a car.  The male cyclist was reportedly the only party who suffered any injuries, from which he later died.

Traffic was redirected at Idlewild Street and Allens Lane in the immediate aftermath of the Evansville motorcycle collision so that the EPD could conduct a more thorough investigation.  No further information about the cause of the crash or the identities of any of the participants has been released as of this time.
