I-69 Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Traffic in Fort Wayne

An I-69 multi-vehicle crash shut down traffic on Tuesday night, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

The I-69 multi-vehicle crash took place at Mile Marker 302 in Fort Wayne, IN, where a collision that apparently involved more than two vehicles occurred on the evening of December 17, 2024.

Both INDOT’s TrafficWise website and Google Maps showed that southbound traffic was subsequently stalled on I-69 between the U.S. 24 interchange and the Airport Expressway interchange, though conditions had returned to normal by approximately 10:39 p.m.

Dispatchers reported that people were injured in the incident, though no further details were provided about the victims or their injuries, nor was any information immediately available about the origins of the I-69 multi-vehicle crash.
