Hensley Legal Group’s Backpacks 4 Good Event is an annual drive-through and family friendly event that helps Indiana students across the state get ready for a new school year! Hensley Legal Group is proud of this community initiative and has given away over 50,000 free backpacks filled with school supplies since 2021.
EVENT INFO
- Open to ALL Indiana students.
- Backpacks will be given away on a first come, first served basis.
- Supplies are limited.
- Student must be present to receive a backpack.
- One backpack per student.
- Pre-registration is recommended but not required to attend the event and receive a backpack.

Backpacks 4 Good History
Backpacks4good started in 2021 when we realized families were struggling to provide essential tools to kids to be successful in the classroom. We partnered with Indianapolis Public Schools to give away 10,000 backpacks full of school supplies. In a single day we donated nearly 5,000 backpacks to Indianapolis Public Schools. It soon became clear the community need was greater.
In 2022, we hosted our first annual drive-thru backpack event at our new Fishers office. This event was such a huge success, we decided to expand our reach and host an event at our Greenwood office, in Hammond in partnership with Hammond Community Schools, and at the Lincoln School near our Evansville office.
To date we have passed out over 50,000 backpacks full of school supplies to Indiana students. We encourage churches and community organizations to reach out to us to reserve your backpacks for the school year. Together, we can make sure every child has the tools they need to be successful in the classroom.
