Backpacks 4 Good has distributed more than 53,000 backpacks filled with essential classroom supplies to Indiana schoolchildren in need since the program first launched in 2021, and 10,000 more are on their way in 2026.

Each backpack is available completely free of charge and contains:

Two pocket folders
Classic no. 2 pencils
Pencil sharpener
Pencil pouch
Crayons
Glue stick
5″ scissors
Water bottle

Because demand is expected to remain as high as ever, Hensley is scheduling four in-person giveaways this summer on the following dates:
