The first talcum powder lawsuit trial in California court has been scheduled for July 3, 2017. Plaintiff Eva Echeverria is suing Johnson & Johnson, alleging that the talcum powder in J&J products caused her to develop ovarian cancer in 2007. Hundreds of similar lawsuits are expected to follow in California.
Court proceedings have been underway for over a year in Missouri and New Jersey state courts, with over $200 million in verdicts going against Johnson & Johnson.
