Cheyanna was born in Michigan but has lived in Pendleton, Indiana most of her life. She wanted a career where she could make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives, so she decided to pursue a law degree. After being admitted to the Indiana Bar, she joined Hensley Legal Group, PC to advocate for clients applying for disability.
Cheyanna is a graduate of the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law where she was president of the Equine Law Society and a member of the Trial Advocacy Board. During law school, Cheyanna interned for the Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and was a judicial intern for the Honorable Karen K. Caldwell at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Cheyanna was a professional racehorse jockey, winning her first race at the age of sixteen. She is still active in the horse industry and spends her free time competing at barrel racing competitions.
