Hit and Run Accident in Indianapolis Hurt Couple Waiting for Tow Truck

August 5, 2011 – Indianapolis, Ind. – In a report from Fox 59 Local News, a hit and run accident injured a couple who was waiting for a tow truck.

On Saturday, July 23 during the early morning hours, Joshua and Colleen Anderson were on the side of the road on I-69, near 96th Street, waiting for a tow truck to pick up their vehicle.

Dale Stewart, 44, of Fishers, was driving his Jeep Cherokee when he swerved and struck the couple’s car, which then crashed into them. They were taken to a local area hospital. While details of their condition aren’t known, they’re expected to make a full recovery.

Stewart is facing several charges and has allegedly admitted to police that he’d been drinking before he got behind the wheel of his vehicle.
