According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2008 Orion VII Daimler Bus, manufactured from June 13 to June 16, 2008, has been recalled since its announcement on April 29, 2011. The 2008 Orion, which is used for public transportation, has been found with a defect in the teeter lever base attaching to the cam plate.
The improper assembly between the teeter lever and cam plate can result in a malfunction with the bus’s rear side exit door. If the teeter lever and cam plate on a Daimler bus are not properly assembled, it can result in a passenger falling out of the bus if the passenger leans against the door or is pushed into it.
