November 15, 2010 – Indianapolis, IN – Indianapolis police arrived at the scene of a 2-car accident that left one elderly woman dead and another woman in serious condition.

The Indy Star
reported that 86-year-old Dora Thomas was attempting to make a left turn in her Honda onto Rockville Road when she was hit on the driver’s side by an oncoming SUV at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 14.

Paramedics took Thomas and the female passenger, who has remained unnamed, to Methodist Hospital for treatment. Thomas later died of her injuries.

The passenger was listed in serious condition, but an update has not been made available.

Upon investigation of the car accident, police spokesman Kendale Adams told The Indy Star that it does not appear that alcohol or speed was involved.
