17-Year-Old Injured in Multivehicle Accident in Franklin Township

October 7, 2011 – Franklin Township, Ind. – According to a report from Indy Star, a 17-year-old was injured in a multivehicle accident in Franklin Township on Monday afternoon, Sept. 26.

Police indicate that an unidentified 48-year-old man was behind the wheel of his Buick Park Avenue and traveling east on Stop 11 Road, when an unidentified 17-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Lumina pulled out in front of his car.

This resulted in a chain reaction collision, as the Lumina struck a school bus that had been stopped at an intersection. At the time no children were being dropped off and no injuries on the bus were reported.

However the 17-year-old driver was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
