Eric grew up in New Palestine, Indiana.  He then enrolled at Butler University with the goal of attending law school after graduation, and in 2010 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

After graduating from Butler, Eric chose to attend Valparaiso University Law School.  While in law school, he worked as a law clerk for a full-service law firm in northwest Indiana.  He also completed an internship with a large Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in northwest Indiana during his final semester.  In 2013, Eric graduated with honors from Valparaiso University Law School.

Eric began his legal career in private practice, and the majority of his practice involved representing individuals charged with crimes.  In 2016 he had the opportunity to join the Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted offenses ranging from operating while intoxicated to murder.  In 2020, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute recognized Eric’s work in the area of operating while intoxicated enforcement by presenting him with a Traffic Safety All-Star Leadership Award.  Eric was the first prosecutor in Indiana to receive this award.

During Eric’s last few years as a prosecutor, he was responsible for prosecuting individuals who killed or seriously injured others while driving.  Eric developed a passion for seeing justice done in those cases, and this passion led him to join Hensley Legal Group in 2022.  Eric now devotes his time to helping people who have been injured by others.

In his free time Eric enjoys spending time with his family (which includes his dogs), playing golf, exercising, and rooting for his favorite sports teams.
