USA Today reported on February 27, 2014, GM added 4 new models which added up to over 600,000 more vehicles to the original 748,024 vehicles included in the recall that all used the same ignition switch. In total, the USA Today has reported that 31 accidents and 13 fatalities can be linked to the ignition issues that engineers have known about since 2001 but GM has just recently made public.
